We are proud to call Inverness home. The capital of the Highlands for centuries, the town has been at the centre of some of Scotland’s most important and bloody historical events. 

 

It was in Inverness where Bonny Prince Charlie assembled his Jacobite army before their devastating defeat at Culloden Moore. This was the last ever battle on British soil and it saw an end to the young Princes dream to be the King of Scotland like his father before him. This would also be the last of three Jacobite uprisings and the end of the Jacobites themselves. 

 

After Culloden the victorious government forces attempted to end the Highland way of life for ever. Fortunately they did not succeed and in the spirit of Bonny Prince Charlie’s endeavours and spirit to have one more shot at the Scottish throne, we at Encore embrace & celebrate the Highland way and we think the Bonny Prince would be proud of our mission.
